How much does it all cost ?

     This is the IAM Skill For Life package inclusive fee.

Using your own bike and gear, so allow for your fuel costs too.

What do you get for your money then ?

        You get Associate membership of Northallerton Advanced Bikes,a copy of "How to be a better rider", the IAM test fee, and your first year`s subscription to the IAM upon passing your test.

    We would also recommend that you part with another £10 or so for a copy of the Bikers` Bible  - Motorcycle Roadcraft  - the book upon which all advanced training is based, and which is available at all major bookshops.

        The only other outlay - as with most other Groups, we ask that you make a small contribution to your allocated Observer towards their petrol and running costs. The sum of £5 per ride is the current suggested amount. 

FAQ's

• Can bikes be hired ?  No
• How long will it take ?  As long as you need – if you need 6 rides that`s what you will get, if you need 12 you`ll get twelve. The actual time it takes you personally will largely depend on your commitment and how much time you have available in between your Observed rideouts.
